On March 14, the working group of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) led by Ms. Ginette Hemley - Vice President of WWF USA - leader of the Wildlife Conservation Program, the leader of the delegation, had a meeting with the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of Thua Thien - Hue Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the role of WWF. He deeply thanked the concerns and support from the World Wide Fund for Nature; and WWF-Vietnam in conservation work in the Central Truong Son region, including Thua Thien-Hue.
Leaders of Thua Thien-Hue province affirmed that many projects supported by WWF in recent times have met the goal of preserving nature and biodiversity, enhancing capacity and effective management of protected areas, contributing to improving the livelihoods of local communities living near conservation areas and national parks in the province.

The locality commits to creating the best conditions for WWF projects to operate effectively in Thua Thien-Hue.
Ms. Ginette Hemley, Vice President of WWF USA - leader of the Wildlife Conservation Program emphasized, that WWF and WWF Vietnam have had a 30-year historical and long-term relationship with Thua Thien-Hue since the first years of operation in Vietnam.
WWF has supported Thua Thien-Hue in many conservation activities, contributing to efforts to preserve nature and biodiversity in the country and in Thua Thien-Hue province. At the same time, this is a locality that will continue to be a priority for WWF in the coming time due to its special values that need to be preserved, from biodiversity resources to heritage and cultural history.

Through this visit and working visit with Thua Thien-Hue province, Ms. Ginette Hemley highly appreciated the local coordination and support in the process of building and implementing conservation projects.
During the period 2012 - 2022, WWF has sponsored over $ 3.5 million to implement 6 projects. At the same time, the Vice President of WWF USA believes that in the coming time, the long-term cooperative relationship between the two sides will continue to be promoted and strengthened more deeply.
