Wincommerce inks an MoU to include Son La coffee in its retail network

(VAN) The event transpired within the context of a series of Son La Coffee Festival and Son La Coffee Plant Inauguration highlight activities.

WinCommerce General Commercial Services Joint Stock Company, which is a subsidiary of Masan Group and the parent company of WinMart+/WinMart/WIN, and Son La Coffee Processing Joint Stock Company signed an MoU on October 21 to work together on Son La coffee survey research and product development within the WinCommerce retail system. The event was part of a series of highlight activities of the Son La Coffee Festival and the Inauguration of the Son La Coffee Plant, with the purpose of demonstrating the province's commitment to partnership in order to promote the future sustainability of coffee sources.

Run by Son La Coffee Processing JSC, the factory has a capacity of 50,000 tonnes of fresh coffee berries, equivalent to 12,500 tons of coffee beans per year, with a system of wastewater and solid waste treatment.

The facility is expected to help solve existing problems in coffee development in Son La, contributing to boosting the locality's industrial production and export revenue, creating more jobs and increasing incomes for local laborers, and promoting local socio-economic development, said Lo Minh Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Son La Party Committee.

Son La Coffee Festival is being conducted for the first time this year to honor coffee production, processing, and trading activities, as well as promote the image and culture of the province's distinctive coffee. Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue, high-level representatives of relevant ministries, departments, and agencies, as well as distributors and retailers from across the nation, including WinCommerce, attended the event.
