According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the export turnover of wood and wood products in March climbed 53.4 per cent year-on-year, reaching over $1.5 billion. In which, export of wood products soared nearly 76%, fetching $1.17 billion.
This is a new record in the wood industry as it was the first time the export turnover of wood and wood products has reached more than $1.5 billion USD in just one month.
The previous highest value was $1.34 billion recorded in January 2021.
Ending March, the export of wood and wood products reached nearly $3.8 billion, up 44.9% over the same period last year. In particular, the export turnover of wood products reached $2.94 billion, up 85.7%.
