According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Tien, Ameii Company’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, following the lychee export success in 2020 especially to the Japanese market, Ameii Company has already made preparations for the 2021 harvest.
The company has cooperated with many cooperative members, lychee growers in Hai Duong and Bac Giang provinces to soon unify the standard lychee production process. Moreover, the company has also soon contacted customers around the world.
Many businesses in other countries such as Korea have planned to import frozen lychees from Vietnam. Many supermarket chains have contacted Ameii Company for coordination to export Vietnamese lychee to Singapore - the familiar market.
If there appear no abnormalities related to the epidemic or other inevitable factors this year, the output that other partners are ordering from Ameii Company may increase a lot.
“Up until now, most of the contracts have been completed and signed. Our company has also prepared scenarios to prevent bad situations. The Company currently still maintains information and updates on progress with customers daily so as to minimize risks for both parties no matter what happens, and at the same time maximize benefits for lychee growers, for both importers and exporters," said Ameii Company's Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In two years, Ameii Company has exported many different agricultural products to Japan. These include lychee, durian, coconut, purple sugarcane which have completed negotiations on the label but are waiting for the catalog approval. According to the signed contracts, each year the Japanese partners will import 1,000 tons of longan and 500 tons of lychee from Ameii Company. Longan will most likely be approved by the end of 2021.
“We hope that with the quality of Vietnamese fresh lychee along with the strict control of pesticide residues by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, fresh lychee products will soon be widely recognized by international friends around the world”, said Mr. Nguyen Khac Tien, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company.
