Within the framework of Vietnam International Festival of Rice Industry - Hau Giang 2023, “Vietnamese Rice Road” exhibition takes place along the Xa No canal, on Tran Hung Dao street. Ms. Vo Luu Lan Uyen, Deputy Secretary-General of the Vietnam Record Organization, on behalf of the organization, announced the decision to establish two Vietnam Records. Specifically, "The exhibition space, arrangement of the Rice Road, themed 'Centennial Journey of Vietnamese Rice’ the longest - Record-breaking" and "The model of the Vietnamese Map composed of the most diverse varieties of specialty rice from provinces and cities."

"The Vietnamese Rice Road" is the largest-scale project ever undertaken, completed in 20 days, with a length of 1.3 km and a width of 30 meters.
Also, at the exhibition area of the Vietnamese Rice Road, for the first time, the model of the Vietnamese Map composed of distinctive and specialty rice varieties from all 63 provinces and cities is displayed and introduced at the Festival.
These structures are the result of the intellectual and collective efforts of many groups and individuals. Particularly noteworthy is the outcome of the closely directed and well-coordinated efforts of the Steering Committee, the Festival Organizing Committee, and the seamless collaboration of relevant Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and Localities throughout the implementation process.
After the scrutiny of documents and direct assessment at the Festival, the Vietnam Record Organization - VietKing decides to award the records for the Rice Road and the model of the Vietnamese Map.
The leaders of Hau Giang Province, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and representatives of relevant departments and agencies visited the Vietnamese Map composed of distinctive rice varieties from all 63 provinces and cities, which was just recognized as a Vietnam record on December 11.
Prior to this, the construction units urgently completed the exhibition components to ensure the timely opening. This area promises to bring many new and captivating experiences for visitors.
At this festival, another Vietnamese record was officially announced on December 13th, which is the event featuring the processing and presentation of the most diverse rice-based dishes in Vietnam (200 dishes). This record is associated with the event on December 13th, the Competition of Delicious Rice-based Dishes of Vietnam.
Following the exhibition event of the Vietnamese Rice Road on December 11th, the Organizing Committee of the International Festival of the Vietnamese Rice Industry - Hau Giang 2023 will organize a demonstration of mechanized rice sowing and a model of sustainable agriculture using straw in the rice fields of Mr. Nguyen Van Em (Vi Trung Commune, Vi Thuy District) on the morning of December 12.
Before the opening ceremony of the Festival on the evening of December 12 at Hoa Binh Square (Vi Thanh City), the People's Committee of Hau Giang Province will hold a conference to announce the local development plan from 2021 to 2030 and the vision until 2050.
The Rice Road has been precisely prepared and recreated inside a huge space at this event, with tens of thousands of rice pots setting the scene, portraying the journey from the sprouting of green seedlings to the rich harvest of golden grains.
The Vietnamese Rice Road shines brightly as it sets new records. In particular, in the first ten months of 2023, the country exported 7.1 million tons of rice, earning about 4.7 billion USD. The export price of Vietnamese rice is rapidly rising, approaching the world's highest tier. Vietnamese rice has been consistently recognized as the best in the world. The Vietnamese rice industry's position is being solidified and raised like never before.
A map of Vietnam, constructed of distinct rice varieties representing each of the 63 provinces and cities, has been set along the Rice Road in honor to the esteemed rice varieties that have contributed to the millennia-long agricultural civilization. This one-of-a-kind method is a creative way of promoting the Vietnamese Rice brand around the world.
