Gathering 350 domestic and international enterprises

On the morning of June 25 in Ho Chi Minh City, the 6th International Exhibition for Fertilizer and Pesticide Industry in Vietnam (AgroChemEx Vietnam 2025) officially opened. The event gathers more than 350 domestic and international enterprises, creating a vast networking space for Vietnam's agrochemical industry.

The exhibition is organized by the China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA), the China National Seed Trade Association (CNSTA), and the China Phosphate & Compound Fertilizer Industry Association, in collaboration with VEAS Company and both domestic and international industry partners.

The exhibition showcases a wide range of advanced products and solutions, including fertilizers and raw materials for fertilizer production; active ingredients and additives for pesticide manufacturing; plant growth regulators; specialized logistics services for the agrochemical industry; and new application technologies for safe and efficient agriculture.

In addition to product displays, the exhibition also organizes a series of seminars featuring experts from the Crop Production and Plant Protection Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), VIPA, CCPIA, and international organizations. The discussions offer up-to-date insights, helping businesses grasp technological and market trends in the regional agrochemical industry.

Moreover, the B2B Matchmaking program facilitates direct connections between businesses in the fertilizer, pesticide, agricultural chemical, and equipment sectors and potential partners.

Cooperation and connectivity for a green, modern agriculture

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Hoang Trung emphasized the strategic role of the seed and agricultural material sector in Vietnam's transition path towards a modern, green, and low-emission agriculture.

In the context of global challenges such as climate change, supply chain disruptions, and food security instability, ensuring a safe, sustainable, and high-quality input supply is vital to the agricultural sector. According to Deputy Minister Hoang Trung, crop varieties, fertilizers, and pesticides are the three key pillars that determine the productivity, quality, and competitiveness of Vietnam’s agricultural products.

Therefore, this exhibition is not only a place to display cutting-edge advancements in seed and material technologies but also serves as an “open forum” connecting scientists, managers, businesses, cooperatives, and farmers.

“This is an opportunity for domestic enterprises to access new technologies, learn from effective models, and expand international cooperation,” Deputy Minister Hoang Trung stated.

Especially, within the framework of the event, a cooperation signing ceremony was held between the Vietnam Seed Trade Association (VSTA) and the China National Seed Trade Association (CNSTA) and between the Vietnam Pesticide Association (VIPA) and the China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA). This marks a significant milestone, opening up long-term opportunities in the research, development, and commercialization of crop varieties and agricultural materials between the two countries.

According to Mr. Guo Wei, Secretary General of CCPIA, Vietnam is a key pillar of Asian agriculture and an active force driving regional cooperation. Over the years, China and Vietnam have achieved remarkable results in areas such as agricultural management, plant protection technology, and production technology upgrades.

“We hope to deepen cooperation and explore innovative pathways in smart agriculture and digital agriculture, contributing to the modernization of agriculture and ensuring food security. This exhibition will become an effective platform for connecting agricultural material enterprises around the world, opening up cooperation opportunities for research institutes, industry associations, and state management agencies to work together in promoting Asian agriculture towards a more sustainable and higher-quality future,” said Mr. Guo Wei.

According to Deputy Minister Hoang Trung, there are three urgent requirements that the agricultural material sector must meet. Specifically, all materials must have clear traceability regarding their origin, composition, efficacy, and usage instructions; emissions, residues, and negative impacts on soil, water, and ecosystems must be limited; and farmers in remote areas must have access to advanced agricultural materials that are reasonable in terms of prices, easy to understand, and practical to apply.

“Enterprises must take the lead in accompanying farmers, promoting technical transfer, providing training on effective material usage, and contributing to building a transparent and healthy market,” emphasized the leader of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

Deputy Minister Hoang Trung also noted that in the context of globalization, international cooperation in crop varieties and agricultural materials not only enhances Vietnam's production capacity but also contributes to the transformation of the global food system in the direction of sustainability and responsibility. He expressed his hope that more specific cooperation programs would be established among associations, research institutes, and enterprises in such areas as genetic resource sharing, the development of valuable indigenous varieties, biological material research, the promotion of organic fertilizers, and the harmonization of technical standards across countries.

“As a reliable, proactive, and responsible partner, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will continue to create favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms, policies, infrastructure, and investment environment for both domestic and international enterprises to expand cooperation and jointly build a green, clean, smart, and sustainable agriculture,” Deputy Minister Hoang Trung affirmed.
