The Government Office has just issued Document No. 3175/VPCP-KGVX dated May 10, 2024, conveying the Prime Minister's opinion on resolving difficulties in the export of medicinal materials.
Specifically, based on the report of the Ministry of Health on the implementation results of the Prime Minister's Directive No. 35/CĐ/TTG dated April 8, 2024, regarding the removal of difficulties for the export of medicinal materials, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has instructed the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance, according to their functions and tasks, to continue closely monitoring the situation and promptly address any obstacles in the export of medicinal materials. They are urged to expeditiously review and improve relevant regulations in May 2024 to ensure conducive conditions for the business activities of enterprises in accordance with regulations, thus encouraging the export of Vietnamese-produced items.
Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Directive No. 35/CĐ-TTg dated April 10, 2024, addressed to the Minister of Health and the Minister of Finance regarding the removal of difficulties for the export of medicinal materials.
The directive stated: Recently, the media has reported on difficulties in the export of some medicinal materials, affecting the production and business activities of many enterprises. Besides the challenging market conditions and price decreases, there are also obstacles in the implementation of certain regulations of the Ministry of Health in Circular No. 48/2018/TT-BYT dated December 28, 2018, and Circular No. 03/2021/TT-BYT dated March 4, 2021.
To promptly resolve the obstacles in the field of medicinal materials export and to facilitate production and business activities for enterprises in this sector, the Prime Minister has requested the Ministry of Health, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance and relevant agencies, to urgently review, research, amend, and improve regulations on the import and export of medicinal materials. The amendment of these regulations is to be completed before April 25, 2024.
