The duo women who "sweeten" the TTC AgriS

(VAN) Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc and her daughter Dang Huynh Uc My share the same vision, catalyzing the Vietnamese leading position of multi-national agricultural enterprise position for TTC AgriS.

The vision of Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc and her daughter Dang Huynh Uc My, two exceptional women in the sugar cane industry and modern agriculture of Vietnam, was to elevate the national agriculture to sustainability while also establishing TTC AgriS as the leading multi-national agricultural enterprise in Vietnam.

The founder's legacy and the subsequent leadership generation

In the Asian and Vietnamese markets, the concepts of generational transition post-COVID and integration into the digital economy are no longer unfamiliar. In the wake of the pioneering entrepreneurs, a new generation of young and enthusiastic candidates is progressively emerging to participate in business activities, thereby establishing a digital economy-ready workforce.

Mrs. Huynh Bich Ngoc is renowned as the "Queen of Sugarcane" due to her unwavering dedication to the business world and her commitment to supporting farmers, which spans 45 years. She has been a steadfast partner to her husband, businessman Dang Van Thanh, as they have worked together to establish the TTC Group, which is one of the most prominent private economic groups in Vietnam. She has also provided support to her children in two critical roles: as Chairman of TTC Land with her eldest son, Dang Hong Anh, and as CEO of TTC AgriS with her daughter, Dang Huynh Uc My. She proactively shifted her focus to the fundamental responsibilities of TTC Group as CEO, transferring direct management to the next generation, and anticipating the ripe moment of transition.

Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc is the "special companion" who has consistently placed absolute trust and support in her daughter Dang Huynh Uc My in her endeavors to bolster the position of sustainable smart agriculture on the international stage, as well as laying the first bricks that shaped the development of the sugarcane empire in Vietnam and steering TTC AgriS to grow from its initial status as an alcohol production plant.

Ms. Uc My, the sole daughter of the Dang Huynh family, consistently takes pride in her status as a "successor" rather than a "heir." The admiration and pride of a daughter for the tremendous legacy her mother built are evident in the book "The Moment," the first book about Mrs. Huynh Bich Ngoc to be written by Dang Huynh Uc My: "Ms. Uc My expresses her profound gratitude for her mother's assistance in the restructuring and enhancement of TTC and TTC AgriS. Uc My's career could not have been established without the foundational stones provided by my mother."

The united efforts of two female entrepreneurs leads to the shining golden pages of the journey so far for TTC AgriS, which is composing the glorious legacy of the founding generation in the national sugar industry. Ms. Uc My has consistently exhibited her leadership abilities, garnering her mother's confidence and supporting her in her decision to assume ownership of the business, particularly from a young age. "Ms. Uc My's achievement in establishing TTC AgriS is a testament to her innovative approach to leveraging significant leverage to advance a smart, circular agricultural value chain on a multinational scale. She has been following me since 2006, guiding me through the various stages of my career, from domestic affairs to international success. She is on the path of integration that Vietnamese agriculture is striving for and has a wealth of experience",Ms. Bich Ngoc disclosed.

Ms. Bich Ngoc made bold decisions to introduce TTC AgriS's clean products to the world prior to the challenging milestone of the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA) taking effect on January 1, 2020, which had an impact on Vietnam's sugar industry. In contrast, Ms. Uc My is the one who established the core strengths in technology and modern economic thinking, with the objective of optimizing the AgriS Circular Commercial Value Chain and transforming the business into a "conqueror" in the global agricultural trade arena.

TTC AgriS has not only achieved sustainable growth in finance, scale, and market share, but has also been a pioneering entity in the responsible agricultural value chain, leading green trends and standards, under the shared vision of two generations for sustainable agricultural development. This encompasses transparent commitments to sustainable development, with the objective of achieving Net Zero by 2035.

Motivating the interior fortitude of the "sweet" mother-daughter duo

A shared vision for the future of TTC AgriS, reciprocal trust, and understanding are the cornerstones of the supportive and encouraging relationship between the two "female generals" of the Dang Huynh family. Both generations have directions that respect, build upon, and continuously interact to lead the company, transforming challenges into opportunities, prior to each strategic milestone that affects the company's development.

Ms. Ngoc and Ms. Uc My are capable of working together for several consecutive days, from the early morning until late at night, to participate in annual strategic planning meetings for TTC AgriS or to attend significant milestone events for the company. This unequivocally illustrates Ms. Ngoc's close companionship, trust, and support for the younger generation.

Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My was duly appointed as the Chairwoman of the Board on July 13, 2024, succeeding Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc. This transition is not only a significant change in the organization's leadership structure, but also a perpetuation of a legacy that is rooted in mutual respect, shared values, and a shared vision for the future.
