The Department of Crop Production launched the technical handbook for mechanized direct seeding

(VAN) The Handbook for Mechanized Direct Seeding will enhance efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in rice production in the Mekong Delta.

This comprehensive guide to mechanized direct seeding is poised to be a valuable resource for farmers, agricultural extension officers, cooperatives, farmers, and businesses. This knowledge is anticipated to elevate farming standards, enhance rice production efficiency, cut down costs, boost income, and contribute significantly to protecting the environment.

Vietnam acknowledges international institutions and experts for their invaluable collaboration with the Department of Crop Production in crafting the Handbook. In recognition of their substantial contributions, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development awarded certificates of merit to the International Rice Research Institute, the Consultative Group of International Agriculture Research, and the Excellence in Agronomy Initiative.

These organizations have actively and effectively contributed to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s agricultural sector. Their persistent efforts have supported smallholder farmers in Vietnam, aiding farmers in adapting to the challenges posed by climate change.
