Thai Nguyen: FDI projects bring total investments to over USD 10 billion

(VAN) In 2021, Thai Nguyen had 170 FDI projects with a total registered capital of more than USD 9.67 billion and over 800 domestic projects with a total registered capital of VND 143,000 billion.

For the flagship Samsung Electro-Mechanics project in Yen Binh Industrial Park, Thai Nguyen province will adjust to raise total investment by USD 920 million, from USD 1.35 billion to USD 2.27 billion.

In December 2021, Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Chairman Trinh Viet Hung announced an investment appeal for a series of large-scale industrial park real estate projects in the province. The greatest scale is the 8,009-hectare Yen Binh industrial park, agricultural, and service complex, which is located in Phu Binh district and Pho Yen commune.

The project is divided into five major functional areas: Yen Binh Green Industrial Park, covering approximately 700 hectares (of which 400 hectares are licensed by the Prime Minister); Yen Binh smart urban area, covering approximately 970 hectares; hi-tech agricultural zone, covering nearly 750 hectares, including 300 hectares of Agropark hi-tech agricultural zone; golf complex, golf sport service center, resort, and eco-urban area, covering approximately 500 hectares; and a village cultural reserve area. 

Additionally, Thai Nguyen urged investors to invest in the Phu Binh Industrial Park - Urban - Service, and Tien Phong Commune Information Technology Park; in Yen Binh Industrial Park; Diem Thuy Industrial Park; Song Cong I, II industrial zones and industrial clusters around the province.
