Secure a clear path for Thieu lychee’s export

(VAN) Thieu lychee Hai Duong has experienced a good crop, resulting in enterprises ready for many plans for consumption and export, especially switching to e-commerce and online trading.

On May 18th, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, together with the MoIT and the MARD held an event to open a lychee picking garden and cut the ribbon to launch the export of Hai Duong lychee in the 2021 harvest to markets such as Japan, USA, Australia, EU, Singapore…

The event took place in a concentrated lychee area in Thanh Lanh village, Thanh Quang commune (Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong) which meets VietGAP standards and has been granted a planting area code eligible for export to many markets.

“Regarding the price of lychee at the beginning of the season, belonging to ‘U Hong’ and ‘Trung Gai’, we are buying for people with an average price of VND 26-28 thousand/kg, generally equivalent to the beginning of the season like every year. However, what we are most worried about is still the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic. We hope it will not more complicated so that the transport vehicles can go in and out of Hai Duong as well as export and domestic consumption can be smoothly operated", said Ms. Nguyen Thi Nu, owner of a large lychee purchasing and exporting facility in Thanh Thuy commune (Thanh Ha district).

Utilize domestic markets
