Revenue from cashew exports reached nearly 2.4 billion USD over seven months

(VAN) During the first seven months of 2024, Vietnam’s cashew exports to both traditional and potential markets exhibited positive growth compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
 

According to the General Department of Customs, Vietnam exported 66.87 thousand tons of cashew nuts in July 2024, generating a total revenue of 412.44 million USD. This is an increase of 6.8% in volume and 9.6% in value compared to June 2024. This also represents an increase of 22% in volume and 35.1% in value compared to July 2023.

Vietnam’s total cashew export volume reached 421.5 thousand tons in the first seven months of 2024, gemerating a total revenue of 2.36 billion USD. This is an increase of 25.8% in volume and 21.6% in value compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

The average export price of Vietnamese cashews reached 6,168 USD per ton in July 2024, marking an increase of 2.7% from June 2024 and 10.8% from July 2023.

For the first seven months of 2024, the export price of Vietnamese cashews averaged at around 5,611 USD per ton, which is a decrease of 3.3% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

In July 2024, Vietnam increased its cashew exports to the majority of traditional and potential markets, with the exception of Germany and Australia. Notably, exports to the United Arab Emirates saw triple-digit growth in both volume and revenue.

During the first seven months of 2024, Vietnam’s cashew exports to both traditional and potential markets exhibited positive growth compared to the corresponding period in 2023. Additionally, cashew exports to nine out of ten traditional markets experienced double-digit growth.

Vietnam’s cashew industry aims to achieve an export revenue of 3.8 billion USD by the end of 2024, an increase of 200 million USD compared to 2023.
