This is one of the activities aimed at celebrating the 65th anniversary of the traditional day of the seafood industry and promoting the movement of all people participating in protecting, restoring and regenerating aquatic resources. Accordingly, the Quang Tri Department of Fisheries coordinated with the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province; the Hai Lang District Department of MARD; the People's Committee of Hai Hung commune; Tra Loc Tram Management Board organized the release of 6,000 fish fingerlings of various types such as silver carp, carp, catfish and grass carp... to supplement and regenerate aquatic resources at Tram Tra Loc eco-tourism area.
Director of the Provincial Department of Fisheries, Mr. Phan Huu Thang said, that stocking fish fingerlings to regenerate aquatic resources is a meaningful activity, organized annually by the Quang Tri Fisheries Department to raise awareness about the responsibility of organizations and individuals inside and outside the fisheries industry. Social communities participate in stocking to regenerate aquatic resources, adding aquatic resources to natural water bodies, at the same time, launching a movement of all people participating in protecting, restoring and regenerating aquatic resources.
In the coming time, the Provincial Department of Fisheries will continue to release over 12,000 fish fingerlings of all kinds into dam lakes in the province. These are aquatic areas that are easy for aquatic creatures to thrive, and the area has the ability to recover, regenerate, and gradually restore coastal aquatic resources to become more abundant and diverse.
Along with releasing fish fingerlings to regenerate aquatic resources, the Provincial Department of Fisheries also calls on people not to use electric shocks, explosives, chemicals, fishing gear and fishing gear on the prohibited list to exploit aquatic products; seriously comply with the Fisheries Law and current legal regulations, be responsible, and actively participate in the fight against illegal fishing.
