According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Chairman of the Kien Giang Fishery Association, the releasing of seeds into natural waters for the regeneration of fisheries resources is an annual event organized by Kien Giang province, which is typically associated with the celebrations and events of the fisheries sector. The event encourages the local community to actively participate in the conservation and regeneration of natural fisheries resources through practical actions, thereby joining the collective efforts to protect and restore natural fisheries resources. Conversely, the event discourages the exploitation of fisheries using prohibited instruments, such as explosives, electric shock, chemical toxins; fishing activities during closed seasons or in restricted areas to protect the breeding stock.

The Kien Giang Fishery Association requested all local residents participating in fishery activities to comply with state regulations in order to persuade the European Commission to lift the "yellow card" and to uphold Vietnam's image on the international stage, therebenhancing the reputation and quality of Vietnamese seafood exports in the global market.
