Release 7 wildlife animals in the Red Data Book into the wild

(VAN) Authorities in Dak Lak province organized the release of 7 wildlife animals listed in Vietnam's Red Data Book back into their natural habitat.

On the afternoon of June 10, a leader of Chu Yang Sin National Park announced that the unit, in coordination with the Krong Bong District Forest Protection Department and the Dak Lak Elephant Conservation, Animal Rescue, and Forest Protection Management Center, organized the release of 7 rare and precious wildlife individuals back into the wild at sub-area 1187 of Chu Yang Sin National Park.

Specifically, the 7 released wildlife individuals included 3 reticulated pythons weighing about 30kg; one python weighing 14kg; one pig-tailed macaque weighing 8kg, all classified under group 2B, and 2 pangolins weighing 2.6kg, classified under group 1B. These are rare and precious wildlife listed in Vietnam's Red Book.

The seven individuals were received by the Dak Lak Elephant Conservation, Animal Rescue, and Forest Protection Management Center from local authorities in Dak Lak, who encouraged residents to voluntarily hand them over.

After a period of care and nurturing, all these animal individuals are healthy and well-prepared to live in the natural environment.
