According to Decision No. 763/QD-TTg dated April 15, 2025, signed and issued by Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, the approved planning area covers a total of over 132,000 hectares, located within the administrative boundaries of Na Hang and Lam Binh districts in Tuyen Quang province. In Lam Binh district, the planning area includes four administrative units: Khuon Ha, Thuong Lam, Phuc Yen communes, and Lang Can township. In Na Hang district, it includes twelve communes and townships: Nang Kha, Thanh Tuong, Son Phu, Da Vi, Hong Thai, Thuong Nong, Thuong Giap, Yen Hoa, Con Lon, Sinh Long, Khau Tinh, and Na Hang township.
The planning of the Na Hang - Lam Binh Nature Reserve aims to connect cultural and historical relics, scenic landscapes, and traditional villages in the region with the Special National Scenic Site of Ba Be Lake (Ba Be district, Bac Kan province). This is an important step toward developing the scientific dossier for the “Ba Be - Na Hang Natural Heritage Site,” to be submitted to UNESCO for recognition as a World Natural Heritage Site.
The People’s Committee of Tuyen Quang province has been assigned to lead and coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as other relevant ministries and sectors, to formulate and submit the planning project for approval within 2025, in accordance with the Law on Cultural Heritage and other relevant legal provisions.
