On the morning of August 16, Olmix Asialand Vietnam Co., Ltd. coordinated with Gaia Nature Conservation Center and Xuan Lien Nature Reserve (Thuong Xuan District, Thanh Hoa) to organize the program 'For a Greener Vietnam.'
At the reserve, Olmix Asialand Vietnam Co., Ltd. and its customers planted 1,000 trees with the aim of increasing forest cover, responding to climate change, and mitigating adverse weather phenomena such as droughts and floods…
Ms. Dao Thi Huong Giang, Director of the Poultry Division at Olmix Asialand Vietnam Co., Ltd., shared: 'Through this program, the company and its customers aim to contribute, even in a small way, to making our forests greener; raising awareness among people and the community about the value of planting trees and reforestation.
This will promote the development of upstream forests, protect the environment, respond to climate change, and safeguard the biosphere and the lives of all species. To achieve this, we need to join hands now with meaningful and practical actions.'
Previously, Olmix Asialand Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Gaia Nature Conservation Center carried out a tree planting program at Ta Kou Nature Reserve, Ham Thuan Nam District, Binh Thuan.
The company planted 500 trees, contributing to the restoration of 0.4 hectares of desert land, enriching groundwater in the area, and helping achieve the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050 as committed by the Vietnamese government at the COP26 Conference.
Olmix Asialand Vietnam’s actions not only conserve the ecosystem but also help protect the local agricultural sector from losses caused by extreme weather conditions.
Xuan Lien Nature Reserve, established in 1999, covers an area of over 27,000 hectares, including natural forests, rivers, and lakes. It is one of Vietnam’s 55 nature reserves.
The tree planting program in Xuan Lien by various organizations and individuals has contributed to creating one of the most diverse forest reserves in Vietnam, supporting educational, research, and recreational needs for many generations, and fostering a sustainable life for all species.
Planting trees with Gaia in national parks and nature reserves also contributes to the Government’s 1 Billion Trees Project for the 2021-2025 period.
Below are some images of the tree planting activities at Xuan Lien Nature Reserve.
