On the world market, pepper price on November 10 bounced back sharply after a long gloomy period.
At the end of this morning trading session (Vietnam time), spot price of pepper at Kochi - India increased by 123.35 rupees/quintal (0.36%), to 34,390 rupees/quintal; the delivery price in November 2020 increased by 100 rupees/quintal, to 34,700 rupees/quintal.
The world pepper market has not been able to rebound yet, but there are positive signs, especially in major import markets such as the US and India.
In addition, China has boosted the purchase of pepper after a period of inadequate imports and the positive effects of the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement have opened up many other opportunities for the pepper industry.
It is forecasted that in November 2020, Vietnam's pepper export will be more favorable, the export price tends to increase.
Thus, the price of pepper on Nov 10 on the world market turned back to increase and recovered, Vietnam's pepper export is forecasted to increase.
Pepper prices on the domestic market on Nov 10 all increased sharply in key areas.
Specifically, pepper prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces today were at VND 54,000/kg.
Today's pepper price in Gia Lai province was at VND 53,000/kg.
Meanwhile, pepper price in Dong Nai remained unchanged, trading at VND 52,500/kg.
Pepper price in Ba Ria - Vung Tau increased sharply, exceeding the recorded VND 56,000/kg.
In Binh Phuoc province, pepper price today also increased to 54,500 VND/kg.
Thus, the price of pepper on Nov 10 on the domestic market was trading around 53,000 - 56,000 VND/kg.
