The community connection event was organized by Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber Joint Stock Company (Stuong district, Kampong Thom province, Cambodia) at Santevanaram Pagoda (a pagoda built within the company's project), with the participation of more than 250 residents.

At the event, Nguyen Tien Dung, General Director of Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber, stated that the company has always identified community engagement and relationships with residents and authorities as decisive factors in the successful implementation of the project.

During this community event, representatives of Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber addressed concerns raised by residents related to the company. They provided information to the local community on several key points.

Specifically, residents are allowed to use the company's internal roads for travel and trade without being subject to any fees or contributions.

The Santevanaram Pagoda, part of the project, was built with the main contributions of the company and local residents, serving as a place of worship and community activities not only for workers but also for local residents.

Currently, the company has established a medical station to provide first aid services for its workers. Residents in need can also come for free medical consultations and first aid at the company's medical station. In addition, the company has invested in building a school, which serves as a local educational facility, offering teaching and learning not only for the children of workers but also for the children of residents in the surrounding project area.

Regarding security matters, the company informed residents about the security check implementation at the two project entrances, ensuring that the checks will not affect normal travel needs. Additionally, the company is committed to ensuring security and order within the project area as well as in the surrounding areas.

Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber also informed residents of its upcoming development plans, including purchasing wood from local farms, buying rubber latex, and supplying high-quality rubber seedlings. Notably, the company will offer consultations and transfer technical knowledge on planting, caring for, and harvesting rubber for those interested.

The representative of Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber affirmed that community engagement is one of the ongoing activities that the company will carry out during the project. The company hopes that the cooperative relationship between the company and the local community will continue to develop harmoniously, benefiting all parties involved. Both sides will continue to collaborate on maintaining security, developing the local economy and society, and addressing related issues promptly and effectively.

The local authorities' representative praised Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber's investment activities, especially its positive contribution to creating jobs for residents, reducing the need for labor export abroad, and building infrastructure to meet local needs.

Thanks to the rubber development project of Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber, there have been positive and widespread effects on the lives of local residents, contributing significantly to economic and social development, and transforming the area's appearance from a remote and underdeveloped region into one with vibrant economic activities.

At the event, Man Ashisa, Coordinator of Oxfam Cambodia, highly appreciated Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber's community engagement efforts in recent years and expressed the hope that the company will continue maintaining its community connection activities in the coming years.
