Nutifood applies for a patent on dairy cattle feed formula

Fed with herbs, the health of NutiMilk Farm's cows, especially 3,300 purebred US dairy cattle has been improved significiantly.

Supplementing herbal plants to dairy cattle is another breakthrough of Nutifood as well as NutiMilk Farm in its effort to produce the best quality milk possible. A year ago, Nutimilk Farm announced its impressive achievement. NutiFood is the first Vietnamese enterprise to have a world-class fresh milk source 3.5g protein & 4.0g fat / 100ml.

"Like human beings, dairy cattle can produce the best quality milk only when they are healthy. Thus, herbal cattle feed supplement will improve the health and resistance of dairy cows at our farm. We believe that we are opening a new trend of raising cattle in a green, clean, safe and natural way,” said Doan Trung Kien, Deputy Director of Nutimilk Farm.

At NutiMilk Farm, all dairy cows are feed with herbs. However their diets vary at different ages.

According to Nutifood’s application dossier, seven herbs supplemented to NutiMilk Farm's dairy cows include condonopsis pilosula, Radix Astragali, blackberry lily, liquorice, garlic, ginger and turmeric. In which, condonopsis pilosula plant helps increase the cow's resistance, radix astragali helps improve immune system, liquorice helps boost liver detoxification, blackberry lily strengthens respiratory system , garlic and turmeric help prevent oxidation and improve digestion and ginger helps increase hemoglobin and globulin levels.

Apart from favorable weather and terrain, experts at NutiMilk Farm have constantly researched and innovated breeding methods and diets for the cow herd. They also have worked closely with experts from Nutifood Nutrition Research Institute in Vietnam and Sweden to find the best solutions for raising cattle to produce the best quality milk, according to Kien.

NutiMilk Farm has achieved Global GAP certification for good control and good compliance with quality standards in livestock breeding certified by Bureau Veritas (France)

Because of limited milk production, NutiMilk Farm's herb-fed raw milk has been used mainly for NuVi fresh milk product . This is a dairy product specifically for children. Protein content in Nutifood's fresh milk is 3.5 gram/100ml  meeting the child's nutritional needs.
