Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Limited Company (Japfa Vietnam) officially has opened its factory expansion project in Huong Canh town, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province. This strategic investment aligns with the company's objective to advance its livestock farming capabilities towards modern industrial standards.
The project, which commenced construction in 2022, has now completed key infrastructure including bulk warehouses, machine towers, silos, conveyors, and truck weighing systems. When put into operation, the factory’s total capacity is estimated to reach 444,000 tons/year, ensuring the supply of swine and poultry feed products compliant with European quality benchmarks.
Mr. Clemens Tan - General Director of Japfa Vietnam, stated: “This project will address the needs of the Northern and North Central markets, while also generating employment opportunities for many local workers. Combined with our existing facilities in Hoa Binh and Thai Binh, we aim to achieve a total animal feed production capacity of one million tons in the North”.
As a key strategic investment, Japfa Vietnam has equipped the factory with advanced production lines and cutting-edge technologies. These include automatic drying systems, extrusion machines, pellet machines, and robotic arms. Notably, Expander machines are applied to improve operating efficiency by up to 20%. This technique involves the complete cooking of starches at high temperatures then combines with moisture to enhance protein conversion and product digestibility. Furthermore, the company has integrated environmental protection solutions to reduce carbon emissions at the factory.
“This project incorporates state-of-the-art technologies to simultaneously increase capacity and perfect product quality to the highest and most consistent levels. With these investments, we continue to cultivate a sustainable business system and foster the development of Vietnamese agriculture”, Mr. Clemens remarked.
Japfa Group has participated in Vietnam's animal feed market since 1996. Currently, the company operates 8 factories with a widespread distribution network across the country's provinces and cities. Japfa provides nearly 300 products catered to the various stages of livestock development, ensuring high productivity using quality raw materials, advanced production technology, and strict control systems. Being the company's first feed mill in Vietnam, Vinh Phuc factory plays a crucial role in consolidating and expanding market presence, reinforcing its position as a leading provider of animal protein-based nutritional solutions.
