Japanese Rice souvenir service launches on August 1

(VAN) ZIPAIR Tokyo will collaborate with JAL Cargo to offer a convenient service by offering Japanese rice for customers traveling on ZIPAIR operated flights to Singapore, the United States and Canada, starting July 25, 2024.

This service is the second souvenir service following the Japanese Wagyu beef service, in collaboration with JAL Cargo, which aims to create a new commercial and logistical distribution channel utilizing the Narita Public Local Wholesale Market located near Narita Airport.

The new service offer customers the ability to purchase rice conveniently, including Akita Komachi from JA Zen-Noh Group(*1), and Tako branded rice from Tako Company Limited(*2).

JAL Cargo will be responsible to pack the products, handle all export quarantine procedures, and transport the gift items to the airport terminal.

 

【Details of Service】 Customers may place orders on the official ZIPAIR website at least 72 hours prior to their flight. On the day of departure, customers will pick up the item at the JALABC baggage pickup counter and proceed to check in the items as baggage at the ZIPAIR check-in counter.

※In addition to these rice products, a traditional Japanese fermented sweet rice drink (Amazake) is also available for purchase.

【Applicable Routes】 Flights departing from Narita to Singapore, Los Angeles, San Jose, San Francisco, Honolulu, Vancouver.

Note - Flights to Singapore There are restrictions on the amount of food items that can be brought into Singapore. For processed food products excluding meat, seafood, fresh fruits and vegetables, each person is allowed a maximum of 5kg or 5 liters. The total value of these products cannot exceed SGD100 per person.
