Vietnam exported 19.52 thousand tons of meat and meat products worth USD 81.68 million in 2021, according to the General Department of Customs.
Vietnam exported meat and meat products to 26 markets. Exports to Hongkong accounted for 50.2 percent of overall meat exports, while meat product exports were 9.79 thousand tons, valued at USD 50.92 million.
China came in second place, accounting for 22% of total meat and meat products exports, totaling 4.3 thousand tons worth USD 9.85 million.
In 2021, Vietnam exported the following categories of meat and meat products: fresh, chilled, or frozen meat and edible offal from poultry; fresh chilled, or frozen pork; and other meat and edible offal from other animals in the forms of fresh, chilled, or frozen...
In which, meat and edible offal, poultry’s, fresh chilled, or frozen meat and meat products were exported the most with 10.75 thousand tons, worth USD 20.47 million. This assortment of items was exported to Hong Kong, China, and Thailand.
Following the aforementioned categories came fresh chilled, or frozen pork, which totaled 5.96 thousand tons and was valued at USD 43.58 million. These products were exported to Hong Kong, Thailand, and Laos.
