On the afternoon of April 4, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee organized the Central Highlands Region Investment Promotion Conference in 2024 with the participation of over 300 delegates from the Central Highlands provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.
In recent times, Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands provinces have signed a cooperation agreement for socio-economic development in many different fields, based on exploiting the strengths of each locality.
Of which, Ho Chi Minh City will use advantages such as a favorable geographical location, developed technical infrastructure, diverse and quality human resources, and a strong scientific and technical base. Besides, Ho Chi Minh City acts as a center connecting with the Southeast region, the Mekong Delta region, and the Central Highlands region.
The Central Highlands region possesses a rich forest resource. In addition, this region is also known for its land advantages, especially soil types suitable for growing industrial crops. The Central Highlands are also diverse in mineral resources, including minerals with large reserves such as peat, brown coal, kaolin, etc.
The Central Highlands also have considerable tourism development potential, with a system of lakes, waterfalls, and rich flora and fauna. The sub-regions with temperate and cool climates in the Central Highlands are also suitable for the type of resort tourism.
