Giorgio Alberti, Chief Ambassador of the EU Delegation to Vietnam, emphasized the EU's interest in the development cooperation needs of Hai Phong city with its member countries as well as the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the EU.
He also expressed interest in Vietnam's green transformation and the role of Hai Phong city in connecting the EU and Vietnam. Having the main focus on seaports, trade, renewable energy, and green development, the EU aims to improve the cooperation relationships between businesses of EU member states and Hai Phong city.

Mr. Le Tien Chau, Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee, affirmed that this meeting with the EU delegation to Vietnam will open up new opportunities for cooperation between the two parties.
Hai Phong city boasts a favorable geographical location, attractive policies. As a result, the city has been a popular destination for domestic and foreign investors. The future development of the cooperative partnership between Hai Phong and EU businesses has significant potential.
The port city of Hai Phong is dedicated to fostering business environments that are attracting businesses from EU member states.
Industrial parks and economic zones in Hai Phong city currently feature 18 FDI projects funded by EU investors with a total investment capital of over USD 160 million. Apart from those projects, Hai Phong city has 32 FDI projects funded by EU investors with a total investment capital of approximately USD 927 million.
