This is one of the key activities within the framework of the Mekong Connect 2023 Forum. The forum is chaired by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Science and Technology, coordinated and implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Business Association, VCCI Can Tho.
The exhibition attracts many businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and localities in the Mekong Delta region. These are all businesses with high-quality Vietnamese products and strong integration standards in the market such as Vinamilk, Loc Troi, Vinamit, DannyGreen, Duy Tan, Thien Long, Minh Long I, Dien Quang, Phu Le, Faslink... These businesses possess technology products, recycled products, and high-tech agricultural products with international quality standards. In addition, indigenous specialities, regional characteristics, and deeply processed agricultural products from nearly 100 businesses and young farmers also participated in the Forum.
According to Mr Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, we are currently living in an environment with constant changes, requiring new understanding and more drastic and strong actions for growth, associating with solving social problems and protecting the environment. Therefore, it is impossible to produce in the old style, with old, labour-intensive, and resource-intensive technologies. We are forced into a rapid transition towards "green production", using renewable and renewable energy. This is an irreversible global trend.
Through this exhibition, we will promote connections and form contact channels between governments at all levels and businesses, and localities, thereby contributing to solving problems arising in production, business, trade and goods circulation activities of localities, contributing to strengthening the development of linked activities to promote common development of the region.
According to Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan, Ho Chi Minh City always determines that the City's development is always associated with the development of other localities in the country, especially the Mekong Delta region. As a consequence, building a tight supply chain of production, consumption, storage, processing and export between Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta provinces is a very important task.
The Mekong Connect 2023 forum and exhibition takes place from November 15 - 16 with the participation of managers, experts, businesses, manufacturers, traders... This will be the place to meet new products following new trends of the market economy, a contemporary economy based on international standards and aiming for global export.
