According to the General Department of Customs, in the first half of November, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports reached 188 million USD. This result has brought Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover from the beginning of the year to mid-November to 5 billion USD. Thus, this is the first time in the history of Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports reaching the 5 billion USD mark.

Durian continues to be the number-one product of Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports. In the first 9 months of this year, durian exports also set a new record when for the first time exceeding the 2 billion USD mark in export value. In the first three quarters of the year, durian accounted for 41% of Vietnam's total fruit and vegetable export value.

In Vietnam's export market structure, the value of fruit and vegetable exports to the Chinese market accounts for the largest proportion. In the first 10 months of 2023, fruit and vegetable exports to China reached 3.2 billion USD, an increase of 164.7% over the same period in 2022.

In addition to the Chinese market, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports to markets such as Korea, the Netherlands, and the UAE have also increased significantly in 2023.
