ANDROS - one of the largest fruit processing groups in Europe has its branch in Vietnam, the ANDROS Asia. The corporation-oriented development always accompanies farmers in all markets where it is present, including Vietnam. ANDROS Asia identifies "Going together" as an effective strategy to help businesses, farmers, and localities able to "go further".During its 5 years of presence in Vietnam, ANDROS Asia has processed more than 20,000 tons of fruit each year including over 8,000 tons for exports to foreign markets. It has also targeted to purchase about 30,000 tons of fruit/year from 2025.
With such a large purchase, ANDROS Asia always has to balance between quantity and quality. It has been implementing many activities to build close relationships with fruit farmers and local authorities, in order to work together for sustainable agricultural development. Most recently is a partnership conference on sustainable fruit network development held in Tien Giang province on June 17.
.ANDROS Asia currently has 2 factories in Go Cong and My Tho districts (Tien Giang province) - the two most developed regions for growing fruit specialties such as Hoa Loc mango, Lo Ren Vinh Kim star apple, Cai Lay durian, Cho Gao longan, Go Cong cherry, Tan Phuoc pineapple and Nhi Quy longan ...
Thanks to its advantages of diverse fruit sources, Tien Giang is always placed in a strategy to not only expand raw material procurement but also for developing a cooperation relationship with ANDROS Asia. In the partnership conference, ANDROS Asia visually shared with farmers the process of selecting input fruits, processing and packaging until the final product.
According to a representative of ANDROS Asia, when cooperating with businesses, farmers will receive technical support, seed supply, product research and development, and biological transformation to establish a quality fruit growing and production industry from which they can meet the input standards of ANDROS Asia following the international standards.
Commitment to accompanying Tien Giang province to build sustainable and quality raw material areas, ready to step into the international market
To expand investment, supply to the domestic market and export to neighboring countries (Indonesia, Brunei, Philippines, ...) and large markets (Europe, Japan, USA, ...), ANDROS Asia requires a large quantity of raw material input with quality meeting strict international standards. Therefore, it not only connects with individual local farmers but also works with authorities to build GlobalGAP certified raw material areas.
At the recent event, ANDROS Asia signed a contract with the Cooperative Alliance of Tien Giang province to build a chain of fruit production-consumption in the province, based on a proposal of ANDROS Asia to follow the technical agricultural service model which includes activities in seed services, harvesting and post-harvest, output processing and offsetting. Previously, ANDROS Asia cooperated with An Giang province to develop 350ha of mango area meeting GlobalGAP standards.
Activities in connecting with farmers and authorities of Tien Giang province are typical examples of ANDROS Asia's commitment to accompany all partners in provinces and cities where this French company is present. In the past 5 years, behind hundreds of thousands of tons of Vietnamese fruits that have been processed and exported to the world markets are many farmers who have improved their thinking and growing techniques and many sustainable material fruit regions to take shape meeting GlobalGAP standards.
ANDROS Asia said it will continue to accompany its Vietnamese partners for many years to help Vietnamese fruit become a popular name in foreign markets.
