According to an estimate by the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the export value of wooden frame chairs in November 2021 reached US$ 270 million, up 25.1% compared to October 2021, but down 11.5% compared to November 2020.
In the first 11 months of 2021, the export value of wooden frame chairs is estimated at US$ 3.2 billion, up 36.1% over the same period in 2020.
The export value of wooden frame chairs is gradually recovering, although not equal to the same period in 2020. Still, it has increased continuously since October 2021, showing that wood businesses have adapted and returned to normal operations.
Wooden frame chairs are mainly exported to the US market. In the first ten months of 2021, the export of wooden frame chairs to the US reached US$ 2.9 billion, up 43.2% over the same period in 2020. The proportion of exports to the US accounted for 81.7% of the total export value of wooden frame chairs.
Followed by the Japanese market with US$ 93.2 million, down 6.6% over the same period in 2020; exports to Korea reached US$ 62.5 million, down 9.5%; exports to Canada reached US$ 47.6 million, up 19.5%.
This year, the strong growth rate of wooden frame chairs makes an essential contribution to the growth rate of the wood industry because this is an export item with the highest value accounting for the highest proportion in the structure of wooden products for export in 2021.
Wooden frame chair is the item that accounts for the highest proportion in value in wood export. It is expected that the export value of wooden frame chairs in 2021 will reach US$ 3.5 billion, up 30.6% compared to 2020.
