According to the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia, during the trip accompanying the Vietnamese Ambassador in Australia (concurrently serving 5 South Pacific island countries) to the Republic of Vanuatu to present the credentials, the Trade Office successfully connected the contracts to export 10 containers of ST25 rice to Vanuatu.

The parties have also reached an agreement on the next shipments, and the total of Vanuatu's markets' demand is expected to be up to thousands of tons of Vietnamese rice.

In the last 3 years, the slogan "Vietnam, the land of the best rice in the world" created by the Trade Office affirms the quality of Vietnamese rice, the strategy of "creating demand" has helped Vietnamese rice gain a foothold in the Australian market, even in distant states.

This strategy aims at helping Vietnamese rice be recognized in the Australian market by connecting to easily accessible and widespread distribution systems, including online sales, which attract large distribution systems.

Moreover, the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia believes that this is a sustainable approach. If Vietnamese rice is immediately put on large supermarket shelves when the market is not aware yet, it will only last for a short time.

Recently, the Costco supermarket put ST25 rice into distribution as the supermarket had received good signals from the consumers. After efforts to promote Vietnamese rice in the Australian market, the Trade Office is now promoting the promotion to part-time markets, including the island nation of Vanuatu.
