Entrepreneur Nguyen Hoang Anh was re-elected as the Chairman of Binh Thuan Shrimp Association

(VAN) The Congress elected the Executive Board of Binh Thuan Shrimp Association for the term of 2023–2028, including 7 members. Businessman Nguyen Hoang Anh was re-elected as the Chairman of the Association.

On August 1, Binh Thuan Shrimp Association held the third conference, term 2023 - 2028. The Congress elected the 3rd Executive Board of Binh Thuan Shrimp Association, term 2023 - 2028 including 7 members. In which, businessman Nguyen Hoang Anh, the General Director of the South Central Fisheries Investment Company Limited was re-elected as the Chairman of Binh Thuan Shrimp Association.

During more than 12 years of operation, Binh Thuan Shrimp Association has gradually affirmed its extremely important role in promoting the sustainable development of the local shrimp industry. In the last term, the role and position of the association have been further affirmed and promoted, not only for the province but also for relevant central and local agencies, as well as the business community in the shrimp industry.

In the context of challenges from natural disasters and prolonged epidemics, the association has made great efforts to perform the role of representative and bridge, especially in supporting member enterprises to safely adapt to the epidemic, restore production and business…

In the term of 2023 - 2028, Binh Thuan Shrimp Association sets a central goal in the spirit of "creation, innovation, association, development" in order to improve the operation quality of the organization and its members and subordinate units. 

Entrepreneur Nguyen Hoang Anh, the General Director of South Central Seafood Investment Co., Ltd., also the Chairman of Binh Thuan Shrimp Association, said that the association will operate in a professional, effective, and practical way for its members. Along with that is promoting the role of organizations and associations and a team of businesses and entrepreneurs in Binh Thuan province.

The Association is determined to change and adapt to the new situation, as well as will strengthen training activities, guide the application of 4.0 technology, and digital transformation in businesses and support member businesses to develop sustainably.

“Binh Thuan Shrimp Association will continue to accompany businesses, grasp the difficulties that businesses face to promptly propose solutions to remove and effectively support in the economic recovery program. Along with that, creating a favorable environment for businesses to easily connect with each other, access and apply new technologies, especially in the digital transformation; connecting with new markets, transforming investment and developing human resources effectively", businessman Nguyen Hoang Anh emphasized and called for each member of the association to be creative, innovative, connected and determined. Thereby contributing to improving the position of Binh Thuan shrimp in the domestic and international markets.

Maintain the brand name of Binh Thuan shrimp seed

On behalf of leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, the Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee recognized, appreciated and praised the achievements of Binh Thuan Shrimp Association, the business community and businessmen in the past term.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai also agreed with the report of the Association's Executive Board at the meeting. At the same time, he hoped that in the term of 2023 - 2028, with a high spirit of determination, the shrimp seed production industry in Binh Thuan province will continue to maintain stability and sustainable development in the direction of high technology, improve efficiency and keep maintain the reputation of Binh Thuan shrimp seed brand.

The Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee suggested that Binh Thuan Shrimp Association continue to do better in disseminating new policies to its members related to production, business and market orientation of the shrimp industry; as well as popularizing farming techniques, effective production, business and management methods. At the same time, strictly implement the legal regulations on seed production in order to provide breeders with the best quality. In which, attention should be paid to the selection of quality broodstock sources to put into production. At the same time, the association must protest and petition the government to handle cases of poor quality shrimp production or counterfeiting of packaging and labels to discredit Binh Thuan shrimp brands.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, the Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, said that Binh Thuan has the potential to develop shrimp seed production, especially in Tuy Phong district, which can produce shrimp seed all year round. Binh Thuan shrimp seed is rated high quality and reputable in the market, shrimp seed products are interested in investing and developing strongly in both quantity and investment scale. Up to now, the whole province has more than 130 shrimp seed production facilities, annually producing over 25 billion post of whiteleg shrimp and black tiger shrimp seed, providing nearly 30% of the country's demand for shrimp seed with stable quality. Therefore, shrimp seed is always identified by the province as one of the key products of Binh Thuan province.
