“The Tao of Coffee” was broadcast on the first Discovery international television channel in two countries, Australia and New Zealand, on the evening of November 24, 2023 at 10:25 p.m. (local time). has brought many emotions and pleasant surprises to coffee enthusiasts around the world.
The interesting story about Vietnam, the world's coffee powerhouse, accounting for more than half of the global Robusta coffee supply, is being filmed and broadcast globally by Discovery for the first time.
It is known that this is the first documentary film about coffee culture and coffee philosophy from Vietnam that is produced by the famous global media company Warner Bros. Discovery cooperates with Trung Nguyen Legend Group to produce with much enthusiasm. Discovery - the world's leading film production brand - took more than a year to research, come up with theme ideas and implement the film.
Discovery spent more than 1 month with the world's most professional resources to record and directly interview many characters in Vietnam, China, America, England... The film's post-production work was carried out in 2 months before being officially broadcast in Australia, New Zealand, and will premiere in Vietnam, Korea, Japan... on November 30, 2023 at 7:10 pm, 6:10 pm (BKK/JKT) on Discovery channel.
The Tao of Coffee is built with a multi-dimensional, realistic and objective perspective using diverse parameters, data, and interview opinions from Vietnamese and international experts, to coffee farmers, agricultural and food engineers, consumers.
In the film, Discovery identifies that the land of Buon Ma Thuot, Dak Lak province, has perfect conditions to produce high-quality Robusta coffee beans, and is gradually developing into a coffee city of the world. In particular, Buon Ma Thuot and Dak Lak are introduced as key lands of the coffee powerhouse of Vietnam, the second largest coffee exporting country and accounting for more than half of the world's Robusta coffee supply.
With 45 minutes, Discovery's film The Tao of Coffee has brought global audiences to immerse themselves for the first time in a thorough, inspiring story about coffee culture and coffee philosophy from Vietnam, exploring the potential and internal strength of a coffee powerhouse.
