DHN Charity Fund: Mission to spread love and compassion

(VAN) DHN Charity Fund was responsible for hosting a series of meaningful activities in Tay Ninh province since the beginning of 2024.

A series of special events was held on May 19 in Tan Chau district, Tay Ninh province. Notable activities include: the inauguration of the DHN Tay Ninh high-tech livestock farming area; the announcement of seven key agricultural investment projects from 2025 to 2030; official recognition of disease-free zone in Tay Ninh province; and the announcement of plans to export poultry products to the Halal market. The series of events was co-organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Royal De Heus, Hung Nhon Group, and Bel Gà Group.

On the sidelines of the main event series, representatives from De Heus and Hung Nhon introduced the DHN Charity Fund to 1,000 participating guests, including Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Thanh Tam, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ngoc. Additionally, representatives of the DHN Charity Fund announced a sponsorship of 500 million Vietnamese dong for the construction of charity houses in Tan Chau district.

At the event, the DHN Charity Fund presented a passbook worth 50 million Vietnamese dong to Heroic Mother Pham Thi Nam; and 10 gifts to impoverished households within Tan Chau district. Although these gifts may not hold significant monetary value, they symbolize the love and compassion of the DHN Charity Fund, fostering hope and motivation for families to rise above poverty.

During the launch ceremony of the DHN Charity Fund on May 14, CEO Vu Le Dan Thuy provided additional insights into the fund's activities.

Accordingly, the DHN Charity Fund was established by De Heus and Hung Nhon with a budget of 30 billion Vietnamese dong. The Fund operates as a non-profit organization to bring tangible benefits to the community, with a focus on financial transparency and accountability.

The activities of the DHN Charity Fund focus on three main areas: supporting families affected by Agent Orange; raising awareness and promoting food safety and hygiene; and covering medical expenses for food poisoning patients.

During the event, the DHN Charity Fund announced its Ambassador, Miss Vietnam 2020 and Top 13 Miss World, Do Thi Ha. Regarding her decision to join as the Ambassador for the DHN Charity Fund, Miss Do Thi Ha commented, "I am delighted to accompany the DHN Charity Fund on its incredibly meaningful project. I hope to fulfill my role and spread love in Tay Ninh as well as Vietnam."

According to Miss Do Thi Ha, the DHN Charity Fund aims to become a source of support for families affected by Agent Orange, while also raising awareness for food safety and hygiene. The fund will also cover medical expenses for food poisoning patients in Tay Ninh. Furthermore, scholarships will be awarded to create better opportunities for the children of Tay Ninh province.

According to CEO Vu Le Dan Thuy, DHN Charity Fund's activities on May 19 mark the beginning of a long journey to contribute to poverty alleviation, healthcare, and improving the lives of the local community in Tay Ninh. Looking ahead, the Fund aims to extend its reach across various provinces and cities nationwide, reinforcing its commitment to community welfare and development.

Prior to the establishment of the DHN Charity Fund, Royal De Heus and Hung Nhon Group co-organized various social activities and charity field trips. Notably, during a business trip to Tan Chau district in late 2023, Head of the Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia, in coordination with Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Hung Nhon, and Royal De Heus, organized a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of three charity houses for three impoverished households; and distributed 300 gifts to families under preferential treatment policy, revolutionary contributors, impoverished households, with a total value of 1 billion Vietnamese dong.

In addition, both parties organized multiple Tet gift-giving events for impoverished households; and awarded scholarships to poor students in Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, and the Central Highlands provinces.

According to Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hung Nhon Group, the company's core belief is "leaving no one behind."

"With this philosophy, we are committed to supporting local development, with a focus on regions where our company undertakes investment projects such as Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc, and the Central Highlands provinces. Our commitments extend beyond providing employment opportunities for local residents, including ethnic minorities; we actively engage in tangible social initiatives aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of the local community in remote and impoverished areas," Chairman Vu Manh Hung emphasized.
