Orvia Vietnam Company operates a number of breeder farms and hatchery locations in Vietnam to provide high-quality duck breeds to farmers. The event has the attendance of representatives of the Executive Boards of De Heus Group, Orvia Group, and Lan Chi Company, along with partners and duck farmers in many regions across the country and representatives from domestic and foreign press and media agencies.
The joint venture between the three businesses combines the outstanding strengths and capabilities of the shareholders, specifically Orvia's wide and deep knowledge of genetics multiplication and selection, Lan Chi's modern farming and hatching facilities, and more than 100 years of experience in nutrition and farm management from De Heus.
Orvia Group is known as one of the largest and most famous duck breed companies in the world, with a rigorous screening process for genetic selection. Orvia's source of purebred duck breeds is imported directly from France, where the company's headquarters as well as its breed genetics center are located. Therefore, Orvia Vietnam always commits to duck farming customers about the purity level and integrity of the breed source.
Mr. Benoit Gourmaud, CEO of Orvia Group, shared: "The philosophy that drives Orvia is powered by the spirit of enterprise and innovation, the satisfaction of our livestock customers as well as the satisfaction of our duck meat consumers. Today's joint venture between Orvia, Lan Chi, and De Heus is a clear attestation of a common trust in our abilities and our commitments towards success."
In Vietnam, Orvia Vietnam's breeder farms and hatchery locations are operated according to the most stringent biosafety standards and management procedures and are distributed exclusively through De Heus' network across the country.
During the ceremony, Mr. Koen de Heus, CEO of Royal De Heus Group, shared, "We are very happy to cooperate with Orvia, a prestigious duck breed supplier in the world, and Lan Chi, a professional and enthusiastic Vietnamese enterprise. That is because we all share the same desire to provide the best solutions for the success of duck farmers in Vietnam. Since 2009, De Heus has always been committed to supporting Vietnamese farmers through the successful development of the value chain model in many fields, such as pig and white chickens, as well as many other types of seafood. I believe that this solid foundation will help us successfully develop a value chain model for the meat duck farming industry".
The quality of the Orvia duck breed is now highly appreciated by the market, but Orvia Vietnam is expected to soon launch a new, more improved line of duck breeds in the fourth quarter of 2023. This duck breed line is expected to be the line with the highest productivity in Vietnam.
Mr. Ho Tuan Vuong, Director of Lan Chi Company, said that "Lan Chi is very enthusiastic about cooperating with Orvia, De Heus, and livestock farms to build a safe and sustainable farming and duck meat production chain without antibiotic residue, like the way we have successfully done in breed production."
In his closing speech, Mr. Johan van den Ban, CEO of De Heus Vietnam and General Director of Orvia Vietnam, reiterated the commitment of Orvia Vietnam, Lan Chi, and De Heus to supporting breeders and agents in building long-term success via improving productivity and competitively meeting market needs.
He emphasized: "De Heus, Orvia Group, and Lan Chi are joining forces to bring Europe's leading sources of duck breeds, technology, and farming secrets to Vietnam. We are committed to providing comprehensive solutions to customers, including healthy and disease-free duck breeds, high-quality duck feed, on-farm technical support, access to finance, and connection to consumption markets.
