On the morning of August 16th, in Hue, C.P. Vietnam Livestock JSC. (CPV) organized the conference on "2023 Supplier Potential Development Program". This is an annual event organized by the Supply Source Evaluation and Development Department, with the aim of enhancing competitive capacity and promoting sustainable supply source development for CPV.
With the theme "Environmental Management in Supply Chain Development", the conference attracted the participation of over 50 suppliers who are highly important partners of C.P. Vietnam.
During the conference, Mr. Chamnan Wangakkarangkul, Deputy CEO of CPV, gave a speech and further shared the overall development direction of the Group.
Mr. Chamnan Wangakkarangkul emphasized the importance of suppliers and believed that long-term and sustainable success must be based on a foundation of responsibility to society and the environment throughout CPV's collaboration with suppliers.
Throughout 30 years of construction and development, CP Vietnam has always focused on sustainable development and environmental protection, along with engaging in social activities.
By fulfilling its commitment to responsible business operations towards the community and society, aiming for sustainability, the company always seeks to find and collaborate with partners and customers who share the same goals, thereby developing an environmentally friendly supply chain.
At its core, the aspiration to establish an environmentally friendly supply chain is emblematic of the company's comprehensive approach to sustainability. Recognizing that ecological responsibility encompasses not only its internal operations but also its broader interactions, the company is resolute in its commitment to extending its influence throughout the supply chain. Through intentional collaboration with partners who are equally passionate about environmental stewardship, the company creates a ripple effect that reverberates across the industry, setting a precedent for conscientious practices that can shape a more sustainable future.
During the conference, a representative from CPV's Sustainable Development Department delivered a presentation on the topic: "Climate Change and Food Security in the Supply Chain." Additionally, a representative from the Supply Source Evaluation and Development Department presented on the "Greenhouse Gas Emission Management Method".
The discussions centered around these crucial topics hold significant importance as they contribute to empowering suppliers with deeper insights and actionable strategies that are in alignment with the prevailing trajectory of sustainable development. In a rapidly evolving business landscape, where the call for sustainability resonates strongly, these subjects offer suppliers a compass to navigate the complexities and challenges of the modern marketplace.
By delving into these themes, suppliers are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to not only comprehend the intricacies of environmental management and climate change mitigation but also to implement these principles into their operational frameworks. This proactive approach enables them to respond effectively to changing consumer preferences, regulatory requirements, and global demands for eco-conscious practices.
Moreover, these discussions pave the way for suppliers to foster a culture of responsibility and innovation within their organizations. The concepts presented encourage them to reevaluate and refine their business models, incorporating sustainable practices that not only contribute positively to their bottom line but also leave a lasting positive impact on the environment and society.
By embracing these important subjects, suppliers position themselves as pioneers in the realm of responsible and forward-thinking business practices. They not only gain a competitive edge but also establish themselves as valuable partners in the global movement towards sustainable development. In this way, these discussions transcend mere theory, evolving into practical blueprints that empower suppliers to make a meaningful difference within their industries and communities.
This conference also served as an occasion to recognize the exemplary CPV suppliers of 2023 who have implemented climate change mitigation programs, environmental protection measures, and greenhouse gas emission reduction efforts. These suppliers have also collaborated in meaningful activities for the betterment of society and the environment.
The Conference on Supplier Potential Development 2023 was successfully organized, marking another step in enhancing the long-term relationship between CPV Vietnam and its suppliers. This event also supports expanding the business opportunities for these suppliers by collaborating with other leading partner organizations. This aligns with the current emphasis on the significance of socially and environmentally responsible business operations.
