Binh Phuoc calls for investment in industry, commerce and agriculture from Europe

(VAN) The EuroCham - Binh Phuoc High-Tech Agricultural Business Forum 2024 aims to facilitate the connection of businesses and investors in the sustainable development of agriculture.

With the aim of fostering the connection between businesses and investors in the development of high technology, and promoting the sustainable development of the province's agricultural sector, Ms. Tran Tue Hien, Chairwoman of the Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee, recently issued Decision No. 55/KH-UBND regarding the organization of the EuroCham - Binh Phuoc High-Tech Agricultural Business Forum 2024.

The EuroCham - Binh Phuoc High-Tech Agricultural Business Forum 2024 is scheduled to be held on the afternoon of March 12, at the Binh Phuoc province's Political University in Dong Xoai City. In addition to the Provincial People's Committee, the forum will be co-chaired by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), and the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association (VIDA). Furthermore, the event will be coordinated by Hung Nhon Group, De Heus Group, and the Digital Agricultural Association (DAA Vietnam).

The event is expected to receive between 280 and 320 participants, including representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Provincial People's Committee, local departments and agencies, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Counselors from various European Consulates of General and Trade, businesses within EuroCham, and major corporations and businesses from Binh Phuoc province.

According to Ms. Tran Tue Hien, the event will be Binh Phuoc province's largest international investment connectivity forum in the field of agriculture. Additionally, the forum is an opportunity for the province to introduce and promote its key potentials, strengths, mechanisms, and preferential policies. On the other hand, the forum will allow domestic and foreign investors to access key projects, including projects within economic zones, agricultural projects, and high-tech agricultural projects.

"The forum provides an opportunity for Binh Phuoc province to invite reputable domestic and foreign businesses and investors with financial capacity and advanced technology to invest in high-tech agriculture, as well as exchange information with the local business community. A strong connection between businesses will promote further investment in the province, especially from businesses within EuroCham," Ms. Hien added.

According to Ms. Tran Tue Hien, EuroCham and participating agricultural associations and corporations signed a series of memoranda of understanding on investment projects in the field of high-tech agriculture.

Mr. Gabor Fluit, Chairman of EuroCham, stated that the Forum is an opportunity for EuroCham members to establish connections between various production and consumption value chains, enhance the brand and value of the province's key agricultural products, and introduce high-quality agricultural products from Binh Phuoc province to the European market. Notably, EuroCham will propose and recommend solutions for the rapid and sustainable development of the high-tech agricultural ecosystem within Binh Phuoc province.

According to Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Vice Chairman of VIDA and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hung Nhon Group, the Forum will feature numerous speeches and evaluations from domestic and international businesses regarding the development of high-tech agriculture in Binh Phuoc province and Vietnam. Moreover, assessments and evaluations of investment trends and cooperation will be presented by EuroCham members with the aim of connecting businesses and investors in the development of high-tech agriculture.

On the other hand, the province will organize various activities in response to the EuroCham - Binh Phuoc High-Tech Agricultural Business Forum 2024, including: surveys of industrial clusters in Binh Phuoc province; exhibitions showcasing the province's key agricultural products.
