Where “eagle” makes its nest

Making its appearance in a number of districts, Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Co., Ltd (Japfa Vietnam) has invested hundreds of billions of Vietnamese dong in Binh Phuoc. Japfa Vietnam’s farm has 10,000 sow in an area of 22 ha. The farm, located in Dak Nhau commune, Bu Dang district, has a total investment is nearly VND 200 billion. It is currently a place that supplies the best quality-controlled seeds for the domestic and export markets as it is qualified for European standards.

After nearly 2 years of implementation, recently, Japfa Vietnam’s two most modern animal feed factory and slaughterhouse in Binh Phuoc have officially been put into operation. This event marks an important milestone in the process of completing the Feed - Farm - Food supply chain, affirming the company's commitment to sustainable development in the Vietnamese market.

Binh Phuoc animal feed factory Phase 1 has a capacity of 240,000 tons/year with an investment of nearly VND 400 billion. In Phase 2, the plant will increase its capacity to 480,000 tons/year, ensuring the supply of quality animal feed for the Southeast and Central Highlands markets.

As for the poultry slaughterhouse, it covers an area of nearly 15 ha, reaching 60,000 heads/day with an investment of more than VND 400 billion. The factory is equipped with modern infrastructure imported from Europe, meeting GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 standards.

Sanjeev Kumar, Deputy General Director of Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Co., Ltd said, “The company has been receiving ample support from Binh Phuoc government, from administrative procedures to infrastructure. The company highly appreciates Binh Phuoc's actions for businesses. This province has a large land fund, not to mention its guaranteed disease-free areas. That is also the reason why Japfa Vietnam chooses Binh Phuoc as a place to invest in its important projects".

According to General Director Arif Widjaja, Japfa Vietnam set a target of producing 1.5 million tons of meat by 2023, completing the Feed - Farm - Food supply chain and recruiting more than 200 local workers. In the next phase, the company will expand investment to optimize productivity, train human resources, improve product quality, bring value to customers, and aim for cooperation for the sake of common prosperity.

Binh Phuoc still has more to offer

Binh Phuoc has the largest area among the 19 provinces and cities in the South and is adjacent to Cambodia. Located at the intersection of Indochina, Binh Phuoc has favorable traffic conditions with many arterial roads such as the broad Highway 13 from Ho Chi Minh city through Binh Duong to Binh Phuoc, Hoa Lu International Border Gate, and National Highway 14 which connects the Central Highlands provinces through Binh Phuoc to Ho Chi Minh city.

As assessed by enterprises, building factories, production areas, and breeding facilities in disease-free areas of Binh Phuoc helps businesses reduce risks, create motivation to bring processing to a high level and export products to big markets. This explains the decision to invest in Binh Phuoc.

In the 2018 - 2022 period, Binh Phuoc attracted more than USD 2 billion 79 million in FDI. The accumulated total number of investment projects (still valid until now) is 367 projects with a total investment capital of USD 3 billion 460 million.

Economic zones and industrial parks have 285 projects with an investment capital of roughly USD 2 billion 925 million. Outside the economic zones and industrial parks there are 82 projects with investment capital of approximately USD 535 million, of which many leading livestock enterprises "come to nest".

Regarding the livestock industry, the province's orientation is to prioritize the development of livestock projects towards industrial, concentrated, biosafety, environmental protection, and at the same time form a value chain linking from production to processing and consumption to improve the value of livestock products, meeting the increasing demand of the domestic market while aiming towards export.

Chairman of Binh Phuoc People's Committee Tran Tue Hien affirmed: “Binh Phuoc Party Committee and local authorities are delighted as Japfa Vietnam chooses the province as the largest investment destination in the Vietnamese market, proven by its commitment to register a series of livestock projects worth USD 230 million. The presence of Japfa is convincing proof of the province’s charm to large FDI enterprises in terms of attracting investment”.
