On November 15, the Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee formally collaborated with Vingroup by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. This partnership focuses on fostering a green transportation ecosystem powered by electric vehicles and lays the groundwork for broader sustainable development initiatives.
Under this agreement, Vingroup will research and propose solutions to advance green tourism, industry, agriculture, urban infrastructure, transportation, and sustainable living in Binh Dinh. Both parties share the ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions and promoting long-term socio-economic sustainability.
The Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee will rally public support for the “Fierce Vietnamese Spirit – For a Green Future” movement, initiated by Vingroup. The province will also encourage residents to adopt green transportation options, such as electric taxis and buses. Additionally, the Provincial People’s Committee has committed to identifying suitable locations for V-GREEN, a Vingroup subsidiary, to establish an extensive network of charging stations across the province.
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized the need for Vingroup to collaborate with the Department of Planning and Investment to craft a comprehensive green growth strategy for the 2025–2030 period. He tasked the Department of Transport with working alongside the Department of Construction and local authorities to expedite the establishment of charging stations, with a target completion date in the first quarter of 2025.
Mr. Tuan also urged Vingroup to promptly deploy a working group to conduct field surveys in the proposed locations. These surveys aim to fast-track the development of projects leveraging Vingroup’s expertise in real estate, services, tourism, industry, healthcare, education, and information technology. The surveys and project proposals are expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Chairwoman of Vingroup, lauded Binh Dinh’s strategic advantages in pursuing green and sustainable economic development. She commended the province’s proactive initiatives and decisive actions in recent years, which have significantly improved residents' quality of life. Ms. Thuy reaffirmed Vingroup’s commitment to delivering world-class products and services that would contribute to the province’s economic growth and further enhance the well-being of its people.
On the same day, V-GREEN Global Charging Station Development JSC signed an agreement with Lado Taxi Transportation and Tourism JSC to roll out V-GREEN’s charging station franchise model in Binh Dinh. This partnership allows Lado to establish and operate charging stations under a revenue-sharing model. The initiative is expected to accelerate the expansion of public charging infrastructure, ensuring it meets the growing needs of Binh Dinh’s residents.
