Binh Dinh has established a policy of sustainable exploitation of aquatic resources, the protection of fishery resources, the attainment of reasonable growth, and the application of scientific and technological advancements in the fishing, preservation, and processing of aquatic products, as outlined in Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW dated October 22, 2018, of the Central Executive Committee of the Party (12th term) on the Strategy for Sustainable Development of Vietnam's Marine Economy to 2030, with a vision to 2045, according to Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee.

With 1,400 professionally operated ships, Binh Dinh maintains a robust fleet of tuna fishing vessels that annually capture nearly 14,000 tons of tuna, which accounts for over 60% of the nation's ocean tuna production.

Binh Dinh has recently attracted investment in export seafood processing plants, including the 'Binh Dinh Ocean Tuna' brand, which meet all standards and are exported to markets such as the EU, the United States, and Japan. This has contributed to an increase in export turnover, the creation of jobs, the improvement of production value, and the gradual transformation of the marine economy into a critical economic sector in the province's economic structure.

The 'Binh Dinh Sea and Land Essence 2024' festival is comprised of a series of events, including the Culinary Festival, which showcases the delicacies of the sea; the OCOP and Craft Village Fair; the Street Festival; and the Light Festival. These events all serve to highlight the distinctive features of Binh Dinh. These events provide both locals and tourists with captivating experiences, thereby promoting a gorgeous image of the land and people of Binh Dinh and emphasizing the essence of this coastal region to both domestic and international visitors.

This festival is a component of the summer tourism activities of 2024, with the objective of improving Binh Dinh's visibility on the tourism map of Vietnam, attracting both domestic and international tourists, and encouraging investors to investigate and contribute to the city's growth.

Visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of distinctive and interesting activities, with a particular emphasis on the ocean tuna dishes that Binh Dinh prepares in the European, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese styles.
