The conference also brought up news about law and policy change in the export and import of goods in the legislative system of China. This included the heightened restriction on cross-border transactions in recent years and China’s perspective on upholding the code of conduct laid out in international free trade agreements.

Other topics discussed were the risks and benefits of certain export products, numerous means to reap benefits from utilizing new markets and niche markets in China, issues related to product origins, labels, branding, promotion, and the process to produce quality agricultural products eligible for export,...

Participants of the conference also had online conversations with Chinese agriculture firms and Vietnamese counselors living in China for information such as the Chinese market’s supply and demand for agricultural and seafood products. The information would be useful for Vietnamese farmers and food businesses to prioritize what to be exported to China.
