At the event, Mr. Truong Sy Ba, Chairman of BAF Vietnam Agricultural Corporation, stated: "One of the key aspects of the cooperation agreement between BAF and Muyuan is the transfer of smart livestock technology equipment. In the 4.0 era, applying advanced technologies, automated machinery, digital transformation and artificial intelligence in livestock farming not only enhances production efficiency and optimizes resources but also ensures biosecurity and environmental standards in line with global benchmarks".

In the context of the global livestock industry facing numerous challenges from diseases, most notably African swine fever, biosecurity management is a vital factor for businesses. Therefore, the experience and biosecurity management measures that Muyuan has successfully implemented in China will help BAF learn and apply them effectively in Vietnam. This will help minimize disease risks, protect the health of pig herds, enhance business efficiency and ensure a stable supply for the market.

In addition, the development of the livestock industry is having a significant impact on the environment, particularly in terms of water resource usage and greenhouse gas emissions. However, with the modern technologies transferred from Muyuan, BAF will upgrade its livestock waste management processes, efficiently recycle and utilize resources. This will reduce the negative environmental impact, develop a circular economy chain and lay a solid foundation for the goal of sustainable development - a priority for businesses and organizations worldwide.

The ceremony for the announcement and signing of the strategic cooperation between BAF and Muyuan is considered as a new milestone in their partnership. Both parties will work together to comprehensively improve the closed-loop system from feed production factories to farm models. This is also seen as a significant step for each company in enhancing trade value and brand recognition, not only in the domestic market but also globally.

“Muyuan is confident that we can support BAF in achieving its goal of expanding to 450,000 sows and 10 million pigs by 2030. We believe that, through this collaboration, both parties can provide Vietnamese consumers with clean, fresh and safe food. At the same time, we aim to jointly promote the prosperity and development of the pig farming industry in Vietnam, creating a greener, healthier environment and a more prosperous society”, said Mr. Gao Dong, Chief Financial Officer of Muyuan Group.

According to Mr. Gao Dong, with 32 years of experience in pig farming, Muyuan can offer better solutions in areas such as breeding, veterinary care, animal feed, smart management and environmental protection. This provides momentum for BAF as well as other companies in the industry globally to work together to reduce costs, improve quality and enhance efficiency in the livestock sector.

“The signing event today is the positive outcome of a long-standing cooperation journey between BAF and Muyuan, and it also marks the beginning of another journey in the future. We aim not only to focus on the transfer of farming technology, biosecurity and environmental solutions; both parties will continue to expand cooperation in many other areas to jointly promote the increasingly modern and innovative development of the livestock industry”, said Mr. Truong Sy Ba.
