Bac Ninh is ready to remove difficulties for the growth of businesses and cooperatives

On June 3, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province held the "2023 Business and Cooperative Dialogue" conference to accompany businesses and cooperatives to remove difficulties and promote development.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan asked all participants to strictly follow the spirit of "telling the truth, doing the truth, bringing true results". Along with that, it is necessary to continue to improve the endogenous capacity of enterprises and effectively improve the value chain connectivity.

Bac Ninh province hopes to recognize the reality of local problems through the conference and join hands with businesses to remove bottlenecks, improve local governance efficiency, and improve the environment, business investment, and accompanying development.

Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan directly chaired the conference with the participation of the leaders of the five newly launched Working Groups to remove difficulties who are leaders of the Departments: Construction, Natural Resources, and Environment, Planning, Investment; Labor - Invalids, Social Affairs, and Bac Ninh Provincial Police.

In addition, the province also summoned the Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committees of the districts, cities, and towns directly under the Conference to answer comments and questions and solve difficulties of enterprises, cooperatives, and households' production and business in the province, under the witness of the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and nearly 600 representatives participating in the conference.

According to Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, in the first quarter of 2023, the economic and social situation of Bac Ninh encountered many difficulties and challenges.

The province's gross domestic product (GRDP) in the first six months of the year recorded negative double-digit growth, the industrial production index decreased by 19%, and the import-export turnover decreased by 23% over the same period in 2022.

Since the beginning of the year, the province has had 127 enterprises voluntarily dissolved (up 7.6% over the same period in 2022), 202 affiliated units (up 85% over the same period in 2022), and 995 enterprises (up 26% over the same period in 2022) registered to suspend operations due to many difficulties temporarily.

The initiative of Bac Ninh is the launch of 5 working groups to remove difficulties and a conference for direct and public dialogue with businesses, cooperatives, and business households. They are expressing demand, being willing to listen to suggestions and recommendations, and sharing thoughts and aspirations from the business community, cooperatives, and business households.

On that basis, Bac Ninh province can make timely decisions and promulgate supportive mechanisms and policies, innovative solutions, and reforms in line with reality towards building a tectonic government for development. 

On the morning of June 3, many opinions from businesses, cooperatives, and business households were given, such as difficulties in real estate projects, compensation, land and assets recovery on land, the problem of parachute vehicles, tax, and preferential interest rates when borrowing capital. The above recommendations were asked by the Standing Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Vuong Quoc Tuan, and leaders of relevant departments, branches, and localities directly answered at the Conference, answering the problem directly briefly, concisely, easy to understand, to the point, to the point. Mr. Tuan requested that enterprises, production households, etc., be answered in writing for petitions that have not been satisfactorily answered.

Also, on the afternoon of June 3, Bac Ninh province continued to open a dialogue conference with FDI enterprises with the participation of leaders of the Vietnam Federation of Trade and Industry, the Department of Foreign Investment (Ministry of Planning and Investment), and the Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting (Ministry of Public Security).
