“We are very lucky to become a “partner” with lychees, especially those of Thanh Ha, Hai Duong. Our company exports a wide variety of products, so when it comes to lychees, everything turns into dynamic stories, from client preparation to production preparation,” said Mr. Nguyen Khac Tien, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ameii Vietnam JSC.
Particularly for the preparation of the production stage, Ameii Vietnam JSC has established cooperatives ourselves to perfect the procedure and create products which quality can be considered “good” to serve lychee export.
Normally in the case of other products, the company doesn’t have to prepare too thoroughly or too much, unlike lychees since they all have smooth production flow. The operation concerning lychee has already run without problem.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Tien, during the process of preparing for Thieu lychee export, Ameii Vietnam is very detailed in terms of arrangement. Normally at the time when the lychee ended in the previous year, Mr. Nguyen Khac Tien and the company staff already have to perform certain tasks. The first is to revise the overall situation of the crop, and the next is to come up with plans for the next crop.
“The time for preparation seems to be long, but the company has to prepare immediately so that we can evaluate the good and bad things in the last crop and create products qualified for the next crop. When we start to take action for the lychee crop, our marketing activities spread out far and wide on all ‘fronts’, from the preparation of a good raw material area to the design of packages and label stamps,” Mr. Tien said.
In a recent interview, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ameii mentioned the perspective of “it’s not just about selling lychee”. He said, “We want to sell the story of lychee. Even the image, package, label stamps,… everything must create an impact when the customers see the lychee. We have brought lychees to many countries. In target countries, the products receive generous recognition”.

During the implementation process, Ameii Vietnam JSC is always accompanied and supported by the strict compliance of regulations from farmers, compliance in terms of procedures, methods of caring and harvest, which results in good products.
“But on the other hand, we have a very important role, which is monitoring so that the product can be made. People’s ways of doing things are sometimes old customs, so when there are changes in the methods of production, caring and harvest to create the product, we see it as a source of support, a sense of companionship from the agricultural sector as a whole, reflected through the monitoring work from start to finish. Everything makes us feel like we have indeed received great support from the sector, joining farmers to secure the best source of inputs,” said Mr. Tien.
There are other things about preparation. Every year Ameii Vietnam strongly invests in research of post-harvest preservation technology, probably accounting for 25-30% of the budget for technological investment. The company continuously make big investments in technology to somehow make the product’s quality the best since it already has a good input source.
“This is basically everything in our preparation. Our company has had a very meticulous preparation, so I hope that with good preparation and companionship from all parties, we would be able to offer the market more Thieu lychee products specifically Thanh Ha lychees at their best form,” said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ameii Vietnam JSC.
Right at the beginning of the crop, it has been foreseen that lychee has a bumper crop this year, therefore all activities related to directing production, ensuring food safety in service of export, particularly marketing activities are paid keen attention from the start, and Hai Duong’s agricultural sector also have specific programs.
Not only implementing promotion work in the agricultural sector, Hai Duong’s local authorities have also had directives for all organizations and unions in the field of industry and trade as well as farmer support units, such as farmers unions and cooperative alliances. Each of these organizations has its own activities in support of the work of marketing, promotion, and connection for consumption.
