The aesthetic quality of agricultural product packaging is increasingly improving.
Agricultural product packaging is actively changing day by day. Previously, the packaging of agricultural products was familiar with plastic bags, which were cheap and easy to use but caused serious harm to the environment and human health. Now, agricultural product packaging is shifting towards more friendly materials.
According to Entrepreneur Le Kim Loan, General Director of PyLoHerb Company, the role of packaging is to show the maximum value of agricultural products. "When customers do not know who producers are, they will evaluate products through packaging. In a market with hundreds and thousands of imported products, eye-catching packaging plays a decisive role. For example, if customers go into a supermarket with 10 brands selling the same commodity and all 10 brands that they have never known, 80% of them will definitely choose to buy the item with the most impressive packaging," she said.
Unfortunately, Vietnam does not really own professional agricultural product packaging technology. In the trend of green packaging accompanying the green economy, according to Ms. Le Kim Loan, it is extremely great to make the packaging of agricultural products from plant-derived materials. However, this is also a very difficult problem for many businesses because, at present, the packaging of some specific products cannot be replaced by any other packaging, except synthetic resin. On the other hand, when the price of agricultural product packaging is too high, it will also affect the competitiveness of each product and the financial strategy of the business.
Entrepreneur Le Kim Loan shared: "In my opinion, the trend of green consumption should be seen from a little bit wider view, not only in the packaging material but also in the appropriate usage of packaging. Businesses can flexibly use different types of packaging for customers buying for immediate use and customers buying as gifts. These two types of packaging are used for two purposes: not only creating a diverse market but also contributing to reducing waste and environmental burden."
With a business that has strength in Ngoc Linh ginseng products like PyLoHerb, Entrepreneur Le Kim Loan pondered: "The Korean ginseng industry is far ahead of Vietnam, and currently most Vietnamese people do not know that our country can grow it, so we need to make a lot of efforts to bring Vietnamese ginseng products closer to customers. From an overall view, agricultural product packaging is not only a technological line but also contains the art of honoring the locality’s specific agricultural products and the fruits of farmers' labor. Therefore, the aesthetics of agricultural product packaging also need to show cultural identity. Entrepreneur Le Kim Loan expressed that "Vietnamese businesses can completely do this. We have an imbued culture, great agriculture, and a lot of stories to tell through packaging. Culture will create a unique feature on the packaging of Vietnamese agricultural products.
