The second subject hosted by NIC AU follows the success of the first subject, “Improving plant varieties and preserving technology for agricultural products to produce high-yield crops for export”, which was held on May 8.
The subject “Applying 5.0 technology to renovate and develop sustainable agriculture and supply chains to improve agricultural quality, distribution and value in an effective and circular manner” will be held virtually on Zoom and Livestream on the official Facebook page of NIC AU and NIC.
The event will feature Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan and Minister of Science and Technology (MoST) Prof. Huynh Thanh Dat, as well as representatives of The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development (MoST); Agency for Enterprise Development (Ministry of Planning and Investment); Vietnamese Embassy to Australia as well as researchers, experts and representatives of organizations, enterprises and investment funds in the field of smart agriculture, among others.
The International Conference on High-Quality Agriculture focuses on the adoption of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things for greenhouse farming, with two core technological landmarks: digital gardening and smart integrated sensors. This includes specific projects such as: the Technological Revolution 5.0 and the future of agriculture with the adoption of Blockchain, NFTs, IoT, drones, AI, DAO, Web3, and Metaverse; the pilot adoption of automatic sensors to improve water-use efficiency for rice cultivation in the Mekong Delta; adoption of IoT, Big Data Platform and AI in clean grape cultivation and production; and improving the value of agricultural logistics chains through key agricultural research projects conducted by the Department of Agriculture, Education and Communications at Texas A&M University.
The Vietnam Australia Innovation Network (NIC AU) was founded in December 2019. This is an independent member of the Vietnam Innovation Network (VIN), under the National Innovation Center (NIC), and licensed to operate in Australia by NSW Fair Trading.
NIC AU was founded with the vision to promote “innovative exchange and technology transfer” mainly between Australia, USA, advanced countries, and Vietnam in agriculture.
