Achaupharm exports tts 500th order to the Middle Eastern Market

On August 16th, in Cai Rang District (Can Tho City), A Chau Veterinary Medicine Co., Ltd. (Achaupharm) held a ceremony to celebrate 10th anniversary of exporting products and to mark its 500th order to the Middle Eastern market. Attendees included Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien and leaders from the Department of Animal Health, the Department of Livestock Production, and the Department of Fisheries.

Mr. Nguyen Hieu Nghia, General Director of Achaupharm, stated: "With the vision of making Achaupharm a leading brand in Vietnam's livestock industry and expanding into international markets, the company always prioritizes product and service quality, emphasizes research and innovation, and contributes to the sustainable development of Vietnam's livestock sector”.

After more than 30 years of operation, Achaupharm has expanded its production scale threefold. Additionally, it owns a warehouse system exceeding 500 square meters with strict international standards for temperature and humidity. With a factory area of over 30,000 square meters, the company has now achieved certification for 7 veterinary medicine production lines meeting GMP-WHO standards. These include 4 workshops: powder and tablets, injectables, non-beta-lactam oral medications, beta-lactam oral medications, and environmental controls, with nearly 200 staff members actively operating and participating in production.

For the international market, the company has exported to over 40 countries with many widely used products. Achaupharm has passed direct inspections at its factory to achieve export certifications from countries such as Syria, Iraq, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Korea, Jordan, UAE, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, and Algeria.

According to the strategy, by 2045, Vietnam's livestock sector must achieve a production level and capability that ranks among the top in Southeast Asia. An urgent task is to successfully build disease-safe livestock chains and areas that meet international standards by 2030.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien stated that the livestock sector is a crucial contributor to Vietnam's agriculture. The annual growth rate of the livestock sector's production value is expected to reach 4-5% from 2021 to 2025. In 2023, the growth rate of livestock production value reached over 5.7%, contributing 26% to the total GDP of the agriculture sector.

The sustainable agricultural and rural development strategy for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, determines the livestock industry to become a modern economic, technical sector and is industrialized in most stages, from production, processing, preservation to market connections.

According to the livestock sector's strategy, an urgent task by 2030 is to successfully build disease-safe livestock chains and regions in compliance with both Vietnamese regulations and international standards in the Southeastern region.

To achieve these goals, the role of the domestic veterinary medicine industry is crucial. In recent years, the livestock sector has seen significant breakthroughs thanks to the contributions of the veterinary medicine industry, which earns tens of millions of USD.

However, according to Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien, the domestic veterinary medicine industry is still largely dependent on trading imported medications and has not yet gained market share due to the limited number of factories meeting Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Therefore, it is highly encouraged for domestic veterinary medicine companies to focus on product quality by investing in research, production, and upgrading to modern machinery.

On the occasion of Achaupharm's 10th anniversary of exporting products and marking the 500th export order to the Middle Eastern market, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien congratulated Asia Veterinary Medicine Co., Ltd. He suggested that the company will continue to strive and focus more on investing in intellectual resources. Mr Phung Duc Tien also emphasized focusing on research and infrastructure to achieve more successes in veterinary medicine production, which will help farmers thrive and contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s livestock and agricultural sectors.
