(VAN) After nearly three years of absence, four red-crowned cranes returned to Tram Chim National Park in search of food at the beginning of March 2024.
(VAN) Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee recently approved the project for the conservation and development of the red-crowned crane at Tram Chim National Park from 2022 to 2032.
(VAN) The red-crowned crane is considered as an indicator of a healthy natural environment. However, over the past decade, the number of wild red-crowned cranes in Vietnam and Cambodia has decreased by more than 80%, from 850 individuals in 2010 to slightly over 100 individuals in 2022. The decline of cranes shows that the natural ecological environment is seriously degraded, especially natural wetlands and agricultural production areas.
(VAN) Environmental monitoring equipment 'made in Vietnam' manufactured by Ho Chi Minh City University of Science and Technology has many advantages in its efforts to solve environmental problems and welcome the return of cranes.
(VAN) Tram Chim National Park aims to conserve and develop red-crowned cranes by raising and releasing them into the natural environment.
