This was one of three field trips the delegate took to key agricultural producing regions, including Hai Duong, Vinh Phuc, and Dong Nai, in order to define the present condition and to acquire demands for information technology and digital transformation in agriculture and rural development. It was also aimed at assessing effective digital transformation models in the administration and production of individuals and businesses. In certain provinces and cities, evaluate the information system and database for digital transformation concurrently. In addition, quick guide and comprehend the challenges, issues, and current problems of communities in order to suggest solutions to overcome them.

Mr. Hien stated that the MARD is expeditiously implementing the national digital transformation program by constructing a plan for the digital transformation of the agricultural and rural development industry by 2025 with a view toward 2030.

The work of constructing a data and information base system for digital transformation in certain prioritized fields, such as agricultural agriculture, livestock, fisheries, plant protection, and cooperative economy. In addition, performing a complete digital transformation according to the value chain for major commodities sectors like as pig farming, dragon fruit production, and Mekong Delta rice production, among others.

Mr. Hien praised the participation of state management agencies, businesses, cooperatives, and agricultural households in promoting digital transformation.

Several production models in the fields of livestock production, agricultural production, and fisheries have incorporated IT for monitoring the weather, environment, diseases, and safe farming, therefore contributing to an increase in production value, revenue, and sustainable development.

According to Mr. Hien, the digital transformation would be viewed as a novel technique based on data signals. The database system must now be used to generate tactical and organizational choices, as opposed to relying on experience and trends. To do this, it is important to digitize information and organize and arrange data files in a methodical, logical, and consistent way from the central to the local level. It will be impossible to build up the strategy if each company and individual does not actively alter their awareness and take drastic action.
