Localities asked to take preventive measures against avian flu A/H5N8

(VAN) The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to drastically prevent and control avian influenza A/H5N8 and other highly virulent strains of avian influenza virus.

(VAN) According to the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department of Quang Ninh province, the test results of all three chicken samples were positive for the A/H5N8 avian influenza virus.
