The Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) has exported 10 containers of seed milk to China early this year and is expected to ship five more containers of sweetened condensed milk products to China in the near future.

Ten containers of seed milk including almond and red bean milk left Vietnam in early January, have arrived in China and are being placed on the shelves of convenience stores in this world’s largest market.

A batch of five containers of sweetened condensed milk products are also scheduled to be transported to China before the Lunar New Year.

Vinamilk exported its first batch of Ong Tho condensed milk to China in April 2020.

Another Vinamilk factory has recently been granted with the export codes needed to sell its fresh organic milk products in China, facilitating the trade expansion of the company in a market with endless potential.

“After surveying the market, we received a lot of positive feedback from local consumers and quickly received our first order. China is a large, but also very competitive market, so the company will take prudent steps to ensure we can tap into its potential,” said Vo Trung Hieu, international business director of Vinamilk.

Vinamilk expanded its international trade significantly in 2020 with total revenue of over US$240 million, up 8% compared to 2019.
